GREATER BOSTON MASONRY
Bricklaying & Brick Repair
From the first course to the final joint, good brickwork is a balance of structure, proportion, and detail.
Let’s discuss your project
THOUGHTFUL WORK, FROM THE START
Built with care. Repaired with respect.
A well-built brick wall should feel like it belongs. Its bond, joint profile, and color all contribute to the finished result. For new work, the conversation starts with the setting, intended use, and the details you want to carry through.
Repairing existing brickwork takes a different kind of attention. Cracked bricks, open joints, and localized movement can have different causes. An on-site assessment helps distinguish a surface repair from a condition that needs further investigation before work begins.
A detail worth considering
A close match depends on brick availability, the age of the existing work, and weathering. Samples and clear expectations should be part of an estimate.
A few useful answers.
Can new bricks match an older wall?
Often a compatible match can be found, but an exact match is not always possible. Size, texture, color range, and mortar all matter. Reviewing physical samples is the best starting point.
Does every crack need rebuilding?
No. The location, width, pattern, and cause of a crack matter. Active movement or structural concerns may require an engineer before a repair is specified.
